The Antenna Company AC91007-01 field installable universal external antenna extender kit includes everything needed to quickly retrofit smart meters in the field, including the self-adhesive-backed fix-up antenna, which adheres to the outside of the smart meter and is secured with a provided zip tie, and a high-gain external antenna with mounting accessories, AC94541-01NA. The N-type plug to N-type plug cable connecting the AC94541-01NA antenna to the fix-up antenna is not supplied because of the variability of installation scenarios.

The kit is compatible with many types of residential and commercial and industrial (C&I) ANSI and IEC form-factor smart utility meters containing an internal under-the-glass wireless modem on the network interface card (NIC) and an internal antenna.
