Analog Devices' LT1028/LT1128 are ultra-low noise precision high speed op amps. The LT1028 has a gain of -1 stable whereas LT1128 has a gain of +1 stable. The gain-bandwidth product is 75 MHz for LT1028, 20 MHz for LT1128, distortion-free output, and true precision parameters (0.1 µV/°C drift, 10 µV offset voltage, 30 million voltage gain). Although the LT1028/LT1128 input stage operates at nearly 1 mA of collector current to achieve low voltage noise, input bias current is only 25 nA. These op amp’s voltage noise is less than the noise of a 50 Ω resistor. Therefore, even in very low source impedance transducer or audio amplifier applications, the LT1028/LT1128’s contribution to total system noise will be negligible. These op amps come in an 8-pin SOIC and PDIP package that have a temperature range of 0°C to +70°C. The LT1028/LT1128 are an excellent option for high end audio, infrared detectors, and hydrophone amplifiers.
