PXC-M Series DC-DC Converters

TDK-Lambda's PXC-M series operate over a 4:1 input range, the 3 W, 6 W, and 10 W products are enclosed in the industry-standard 1.25” x 0.8” x 0.4” DIP-24 package. Applications include a wide variety of medical applications and battery-powered equipment.

With a 5,000 V_AC input-to-output isolation (2 x MOPPs), the units are certified to IEC/EN 60601-1 and ANSI/AAMI ES60601-1 with CE marking for the low-voltage and RoHS₂ Directives. Patient leakage current is less than 2.5 µA. The units are compliant to EN55011-A and EN55022-A without the need for external filtering and IEC61000-4 immunity standards.

The PXC-M series is available with single- and dual-outputs covering 3.3 V, 5 V, 12 V, 15 V, or 24 V, and ±5 V, ±12 V, or ±15 V outputs, and can operate from either a 9 V_DC to 36 V_DC or 18 V_DC to 75 V_DC input. The wide range assists inventory reduction programs as the converters can operate from either 12 V and 24 V or 24 V and 48 V nominal inputs without the need to stock additional parts.

With operating efficiencies of up to 89%, the PXC-M can operate in ambient temperatures from -40°C to +105°C, with appropriate derating above 94°C for the 3 W, 88°C for the 6 W, and 77°C for the 10 W models. Zero-load power draw is less than 0.2 W, making the series suitable for battery-powered applications. Options include an output-adjustment trim function for non-standard voltages and remote on/off.
