This diode provides a high level of protection for electronic equipment that can experience destructive electrostatic discharges (ESD) by safely absorbing repetitive ESD strikes above the maximum level specified in IEC 61000-4-2 international standard (Level 4, ±8 kV contact discharge) without performance degradation. With a low capacitance of 14.0 pF per I/O, the SP1064E minimizes interference while providing the necessary protection.
