Electronic Fuses

STMicroelectronics' E-Fuses are a hot-swap power management ICs help to reduce ownership costs in production and on the field. They are ideal for all the applications that employ hot-plug/hot-swap operations or require a higher flexibility and reliability than standard.

Among the Hot Swap Power Management ICs, the E-Fuses are electronic fuses that can replace larger conventional fuses or other protection devices such as transils or diodes. They help to improve equipment uptime and availability and also reduce maintenance costs by avoiding zero false returns.

Compared to traditional protections, the new electronic fuses enable versatile and simple programming of protection parameters, like the overcurrent threshold and the startup time.
