There are two modes of operation for the BU94xxx series IC. Mode 1 is the “Standalone Mode”, which enables standalone operations using KEY input functions. This is the simplest implementation since no microcontroller is needed. Mode 2 is the “Slave Mode”. This mode is driven by sending a command from an external master microcontroller. These modes allow the BU94xx series to optimize functions fit to each audio system requirement.
