Image of Nidec Components ' S-4000 Series Surface Mount Rotary SwitchesNidec Components' S-4000 series is a compact 10-position BCD coded rotary switch that requires minimal PCB real estate and is only 2.6 mm high. The housing and rotor of the S-4000 series is constructed of heat resistant resin that meets UL flammability rating 94V-0. These switches are compatible with lead free soldering and are reflow solder capable to 255°C. S-4000 series switches offer a crisp detent feel that ensures accurate switch settings. Gull-wing terminations simplify solder joint inspection and provide mechanical stability during soldering. Available J-hook terminations reduce the PCB space needed by 20 percent. The J-hook and gull-wing versions feature a 3 mm x 2 mm terminal arrangement on 0.050” terminal grid spacing.
