NTC-thermistors of negatieve temperatuurcoëfficiëntthermistors zijn apparaten die de weerstand veranderen als reactie op temperatuursveranderingen. Met negatieve coëfficiëntdelen neemt hun weerstand af naarmate hun temperatuur stijgt. Ze worden meestal gedefinieerd met variabelen zoals de basisweerstandswaarde van de onderdelen bij een ingestelde temperatuur, meestal 25 °C, en B-waarden, de prestatiecurve van temperatuur versus weerstand gekalibreerd tussen twee vaste punten.
