The Gold Fame Technology RGBW LCD series is engineered to deliver exceptional performance in direct sunlight while minimizing power usage. By incorporating white sub-pixels into the traditional RGB structure, the RGBW design achieves superior transmittance, resulting in 50% to 80% brightness gain or up to 38.6% power savings under the same output conditions. This makes the RGBW display an ideal choice for applications where sunlight readability, energy efficiency, and thermal control are critical.

Unlike conventional RGB panels, which require high power to maintain brightness in outdoor settings, the RGBW LCDs maintain visual clarity even in high ambient light without increasing backlight power. These displays support conventional video stream input and require no modification to existing video data pipelines, simplifying integration.

The white sub-pixel can be independently turned on or off via software. For example, it can be switched off at night to operate as a traditional RGB display, resulting in better contrast under low-light conditions.
