Adafruit VL53L0X Time-of-Flight Distance Sensor | Maker Minute

Adafruit’s VL53L0X is a Time of Flight distance sensor made to sense 50 mm to 1200 mm of range distance with precision. The sensor contains a tiny invisible laser source and matching sensor that detects how long the light takes to bounce back to the sensor. This small sensor is easy to use in any robotics or interactive project. You can use it with any 3-5 V power or logic microcontroller and communicate to the sensor over I²C with an API written by ST. Since the sensor needs 2.8 V power and logic, the breakout board includes a regulator and level shifting to interface with Arduino compatible boards.
