STMicroelectronics' SensorTile.Box for IoT and Wearable Applications

The SensorTile.Box Development Kit from STMicroelectronics helps bring projects to life quickly. This box kit includes a wireless IoT and wearable sensor platform coupled with an easy-to-use app that can guide even a novice level user in developing apps for remote motion and environmental sensor data.

The box kit is packed with sensors including pressure, temperature, audio, accelerometer, gyro, magnetometer, and a temperature/humidity combo. To go along with the plethora of sensors, the kit also includes a battery charger, microSD, and bluetooth capabilities. A few applications are ready to go right out of the box including a pedometer, vibration monitoring, tracking, barometer, compass, baby cry detection, and sensor data logging.

The SensorTile.Box also includes firmware programming and debugging to enable more advanced developers to tap into firmware development within the STM32 ODE (open development environment).

With so many application possibilities coupled with its ease of use, this might just be the next best IoT platform. For inspiration and more information on how to use this product in a remote sump pump application, take a look at this project. Grab one today to get started!
