GCT's MMCX connector and cable assembly solutions create robust micro coaxial connections making them a great choice for demanding applications
GCT’s MMCX is a micro coaxial connector type particularly for connections requiring integrity, strength, and flexibility on a PCB. MMCX coaxial connectors are a smaller variant of MCX, featuring a snap-on mechanism allowing the connector 360 degree rotation when plug and jack are mated. GCT MMCX connectors are available as SMA cable assembly options and standalone PCB mount variants:
- Cable 196 (straight SMA jack to MMCX right-angle plug)
- Cable 391 (right-angle SMA jack to MMCX right-angle plug)
- Cable 411 (stainless steel SMA jack to MMCX right-angle plug)
- RFPC-MMCX02-F (right-angled through-hole)
- RFPC-MMCX03-F (straight through-hole)
- RFPC-MMCX04-F-R (straight SMT)
- RFPC-MMCX05-F (right-angle SMT)
GCT’s MMCX connectors are shock and vibration tested, making them a great choice for demanding applications. Further durability tests to meet EIA-364-09 standards are conducted on insertion/extraction force and mating cycles and successfully passed. The MMCX connectors are suitable for five hundred mating cycles.
GCT offers a range of cable assembly options with MMCX connectors with a variety of cable diameter and operating frequency options. There are three options with MMCX male plugs and SMA Nautilus connectors, along with four PCB connector options with an operating frequency range of DC to 6 GHz.
The GCT Nautilus SMA range of IP-rated connectors make an excellent cable assembly combination with MMCX connectors, creating a durable solution for harsh environments with enhanced mating cycles.
