TCPP01-M12 USB Type-C™ Port Protection

STMicroelectronics' TCPP01-M12 provides protection for USB Type-C connectors. Implementing USB Type-C connectors requires careful design to avoid damages due to defective chargers, shorts to V_BUS on CC lines, and electrostatic discharges. The TCPP01-M12 integrates all these protections to simplify the design of MCU-based applications migrating from USB micro-A or USB micro-B to the USB Type-C connector. For consumer (sink) applications, TCPP01-M12 features a null power consumption. TCPP01-M12 is also compliant with the programmable power supply to increase the charging speed of devices up to 100 W.
