Infineon Technologies' silicon carbide CoolSiC MOSFET solutions for an energy-smart world
Infineon provides a range of EiceDRIVER™ driver IC products suitable for use with its CoolSiC MOSFETs, which opens new degrees of freedom for designers to harness never-before-seen levels of efficiency and system flexibility. Together, CoolSiC MOSFETs and EiceDRIVER gate-driver ICs take full advantage of the superior characteristics of silicon carbide (SiC) technology. Silicon carbide CoolSiC MOSFET solutions are the next essential step towards an energy-smart world. CoolSiC MOSFET first products are targeted for photovoltaic inverters, battery charging, and energy storage.
Infineon has gone into volume production with its portfolio of 1200 V CoolSiC MOSFETs. This portfolio includes:
- IMW120R045M1 CoolSiC 1200 V, 45 mΩ SiC MOSFET in a TO247-3 package
- IMZ120R045M1 CoolSiC 1200 V, 45 mΩ SiC MOSFET in a TO247-4 package
