Digitaal naar analoogconvertors (DAC)

Digitaal-naar-analoog converters (DAC, D/A, D2A of D-naar-A) zetten een digitaal signaal om in een analoge gebufferde of ongebufferde spanning of stroom. De geschiktheid van een DACs-architectuur voor een bepaalde toepassing wordt bepaald door de resolutie en bemonsteringsfrequentie. DAC's worden vaak gebruikt in muziekspelers om digitale gegevensstromen om te zetten in analoge audiosignalen. Ze worden ook gebruikt in televisies en mobiele telefoons om digitale videogegevens om te zetten in analoge videosignalen die verbinding maken met de schermdrivers om monochrome of kleurenafbeeldingen weer te geven.
