DC DC-convertors

Op het bord gemonteerde DC DC-convertors zijn compacte schakelmodules (schakelregelaars) die direct op een printplaat zijn gesoldeerd of gemonteerd en die de ene DC-spanning omzetten in een andere (hoger, lager of omgekeerd), terwijl ze vaak voor regulatie, filtering en indien nodig isolatie zorgen. Deze modules worden gebruikt in gedistribueerde stroomarchitectuur om efficiënt te step-down (buck) of step-up (boost) spanningen dicht bij de belasting voor een verbeterde efficiëntie.

Soorten converters

  • Geïsoleerde modules - bieden galvanische isolatie tussen ingang en uitgang, essentieel voor veiligheidsgrenzen, ruisweerstand en het onderbreken van aardlussen.
  • Niet-geïsoleerd - kosten- en efficiëntie-geoptimaliseerde modules waarbij isolatie niet nodig is.
  • Vervanging van lineaire regelaars - Drop-in schakelregelaars die zijn ontworpen om traditionele lineaire regelaars te vervangen.
