SAW-filters (Surface Acoustic Wave) zijn ontworpen om ongewenste frequenties uit een circuit te verwijderen. Items in deze familie zetten signaalspanningen om in akoestische golven aan het ene uiteinde van het apparaat. Deze golven reizen met een specifieke frequentie over de lengte van het kwartsapparaat. De golven worden terug omgezet in signaalspanningen aan de andere kant. Het bandbreedtebereik is 25 kHz tot 328 MHz met invoegverliezen van 0,44 dB tot 23 dB.
