Microchip's PIC24F16KA with nanoWatt XLP™
Microchip Technology's PIC24F16KA 16-bit microcontroller is designed for power constrained and battery-powered applications. This device features unique peripherals such as DSBOR, DSWDT, and RTCC, which run in deep sleep mode for excellent low-power performance.
The PIC24F16KA102 family includes the new charge time measurement Unit (CTMU) interface module, which can be used for capacitive touch sensing, proximity sensing, and also for precision time measurement.
- Internal oscillator support: 31 kHz to 8 MHz, up to 32 MHz with 4X PLL
- Fail-safe clock monitor allows safe shutdown if clock fails
- System supervisors: low power BOR, WDT, INT0, and RTCC
- Power modes: run, doze, idle, sleep, deep sleep
- 1uS wake-up from sleep
- 50 nA I/O port leakage
- 195 µA at 1 MHz run mode
Microchip Offers Low-Power MCUs
Microchip's family of MCUs features active currents of less than 50 µA / MHz and sleep currents down to 20 nA. The PIC12F182X MCUs extend Microchip's enhanced mid-range 8-bit core product line into the 8-pin segment and include mTouch™ capacitive touch-sensing and communications peripherals.
The PIC16F19XX MCUs feature a broad range of peripherals such as mTouch capacitive touch-sensing module, LCD drive, multiple communications, and more PWM peripherals. All of these general-purpose MCUs are well suited for applications in the appliance, consumer, industrial, and automotive markets.
PICkit™ 3
Microchip's PICkit 3 in-circuit debugger/programmer uses in-circuit debugging logic incorporated into each chip with flash memory to provide a low-cost hardware debugger and programmer.
